Principle level as per our Career Development Framework.
Commission: Fixed % of revenue generated - from 50% to double OTE (uncapped)EMI Share Options: £10,000

Switchee devices act as smart thermostats in residents’ homes, automatically reducing energy bills, looking great, and offering control to those who want it. We are also revolutionising the way social landlords manage their housing stock with a SaaS property dashboard and handy alerts on things like when the boiler is going to break. The data is fed via API into the landlord’s housing management system or data lake to enable them to integrate the data with other sources and maximise the value.
Switchee’s game-changing solution offering includes our SaaS Landlord Platform, API integrations and data-driven insights to make our customers’ operations proactive rather than reactive - all backed by the installations of our smart thermostats in the homes they manage.
Background
With the growth of over 3x Year On Year the Commercial Team has expanded significantly with the creation of a New Account Management Team alongside significant growth of the Business Development Team, the creation of an InDirect Channel, plus entrance to new Geographical markets. The Marketing and Customer Success Team have also expanded significantly in size and sophistication to be ahead of the market demands. Switchee is a Transformational solution that requires an Enterprise level sales approach to a multi stakeholder audience within the Social housing Sector.
The role
Strategic:
1: Maximise the capability of the Commercial Organisation in the current GTM and Sector(s), providing input into strategy and execution.
2: Support decision-making and help define new Routes To Market, designing and leading on execution & enablement packages. For direct and indirect channels.
Outcomes:
- The whole revenue-generating team is High Performing, and proactive
- Scalable growth of Switchee with repeatable GTM capability
- All financial targets continue to be exceeded
- Consistent selling & customer engagement practices across all customer-facing directorates and members including Business Development, Account Management, Marketing, Customer Success & Professional/Consulting Services
- Continue evolution from transactional to needs-based, solution-selling
- Ensure the commercial organisation ‘speaks the customer's language’
Operational:
- Deliver the enablement, adoption, collateral, systems and processes that realise the organisation's GTM strategy
- Assist in the selection and recommendation of relevant sales tools and applications (CRM, Prospecting, Engagement, etc)
- Whilst interfacing with stakeholder depts (such as Marketing) Ensure the systems and tools are configured to maximise the RTM/GTM and sales engine needs, including (but not exclusively) automation forecasting, opportunity management, Management information etc
- Overseeing the end-to-end performance of the sales engines
- Creating, executing and optimising enablement programmes
- Create and coordinate educational content for ongoing training and development
- Use performance data to identify knowledge or skill gaps across the sales team
- Delivering group training, facilitating workshops and providing 1:1 coaching
We are a company built on a strong technical foundation. You will need to be fluent in the digital scene as well as be able to understand Switchee’s products and services.
Your Responsibilities:
- Selection, Adoption and Enablement of Systems, Tools & Processes
- Delivering group training, facilitating workshops and providing 1:1 coaching
- Designing learning programs to drive skill development with tenured and new employees.
- Developing, executing and managing projects, programs and initiatives that support our enterprise sales strategies.
- Empowering front-line managers with coaching and best practices to strengthen their teams.
- Coordinating and facilitating training run by others (external partners, internal colleagues).
- Driving measurement of the effectiveness of our programs. This will include measuring individual participation in training programs as well as proficiency of skills obtained through the training.
- Coordinating 1:1’s with the Sales team and giving them constructive feedback
This role is critical to Switchee’s success and you will report to the Head of Commercial, with a matrix accountability to the Heads of Marketing, Customer Success and Business Development.
Switchee operates a small, close-knit team with a big job to do so you'll be expected to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in!
Who you are:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build relationships with and inspire hard-nosed commercial teams.
- Proven track record in leading effective sales enablement programmes
- Experience working in delivering the Challenger Sales methodology across an organisation and consultative sales with a technological solution
- Deep knowledge of the Challenger Customer experience
- Measurable experience with having a positive impact on business outcomes,
- such as win rate, quota attainment, length of sales cycle, etc.
- Data-Driven with a high attention to detail and a love of continuous learning and
- development.
- Highly collaborative with the Ability to handle multiple priorities to meet
- demanding deadlines.
- Working with and managing a large variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in executing change management initiatives with established
- approaches
- In an environment that is selling complex technology solutions that are insights cloud or SaaS-based to multi-stakeholders to the Enterprise i Business to Business
Desirable experience:
- Track record in leading effective sales teams
- Fluency with complex problems, and large data sets and an ability to analyse
- them to drive improvements.
- Experience in delivering internal projects such as CRM implementation
