Our onboarding timeline
Before your 1st day
It is important that our team feels comfortable working with us from day one. We assist in setting up their home workspace and their internal work platforms before they get started. The day before our new employee begins, they are welcomed with a final message and a welcome gift allowing them to feel part of the team.
2 weeks in
At Switchee we make sure our people hit the ground running by setting them up the best way possible. This is done through a collaborative two-week onboarding schedule where new starts will meet with each department, gaining the right information for their careers with us. We divide our onboarding sessions into the company-wide ones so you get to meet more of the teams and role-related ones so you get to learn the workings of your job.
First 3 months
To support people in their transition to a new role at Switchee, their manager prepares a 30/60/90-day plan for them, where we make sure to list all of their objectives, resources to help them as well as expected outcomes. We believe this helps to not only fight the imposter syndrome by setting solid expectations but also help us make sure that the new starter is onboarded into their new role.
Onboarding feedback survey
At the end of 3 months, people have a chance to give feedback on how their onboarding has been for them. Our People team checks-in with each new starter individually to make sure they have everything they need.
