Here at Switchee, we believe that great ideas come from listening to each other and we mean really listening. Recently, our People team took things up a notch with a company-wide survey designed to give everyone a voice, from the newest team members to our senior leaders. And we didn’t just ask the usual questions; we went big, inviting everyone to share openly about why they joined Switchee, what they love about our culture, and where they think we could grow.

Transparency is more than a buzzword for us (as we were in fact named the World's First Most Transparent Employer by Open Org and you can read about all that here), and we’re so proud to share the process and results with you! 🎉

Why We Did This: Listening, Learning, and Growing 🌱

Our mission was simple: create a truly open forum where every opinion matters. To help us get it right, we teamed up with an organisational psychologist to craft thoughtful questions and ensure everyone felt comfortable sharing. We even made it a live event, with every leader in the room—Senior Leadership Team (SLT) included—joining in, sharing their thoughts, and showing that feedback is a priority at every level.

What We Found Out 🔍

So, what did we learn? We heard some amazing things:

- Remote work and flexibility? 🙌 People love it!

- Our inclusive culture and mission? Absolutely here for it.

- The traditions that make us, us - like the Napier Awards and Monthly Learns? They’re a huge hit 🎉.

And because we’re committed to continuous improvement, we also got valuable feedback on things like creating more career progression opportunities and making expectations even clearer. Honesty like this is exactly what we’re after!
